Spicer Meadows Reservoir is located on the beautiful Stanislaus NF just 9 miles southwest of Highway 4 on Spicer Reservoir Rd (7N01). Camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and so much more.
John Muir
Spicer Meadows is open from early June - early October. The season dates can vary depending on the weather conditions.
The family campground is all First Come First Serve (FF) and the Group site has reservations being taken manually. See below for more details.
Reservations for 2024 will be taken manually by Megan at REPM. In the spirit of being fair to those who called Jan 1st to make reservations but were not able to due to the nature of the permit, REPM is working down a list of those callers first to make reservations. If you are interested in making reservations, please email us at info@royalelkparkmanagement.com with your contact info and what dates you are interested in booking, and we will add you to the list.
Reservations for 2025 will be on Recreation.gov. Sign up below for an email update of when the reservations will go live online. We will also post live dates here on our website.
We are going to try something new... If you are interested in learning about when the reservations for Spicer Meadows CG and Group CG will be available, sign up below to add your email to our email list.
